Tribulation:
The Tribulation is a future period described in the Bible when God’s judgment will be poured out upon the earth. This time of great distress lasts seven years, divided into two halves (Daniel 9:27, Revelation 11:3, Revelation 12:6).

1. The Rise of the Antichrist
A charismatic political leader, referred to as the Antichrist, will emerge. He will establish a global government and deceive the nations with promises of peace.
Verses:
“The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.” (Daniel 9:26)
“And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.” (Revelation 13:5)

2. A False Peace Agreement
The Antichrist will make a covenant with Israel, likely promising peace and protection. However, this will only last for the first half of the Tribulation.
Verses:
“He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven,’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering.” (Daniel 9:27)
“By peace he shall destroy many.” (Daniel 8:25)

3. Judgments: The Seven Seals
The seven seals are the first series of judgments, described in Revelation 6. These seals unleash various disasters:
Conqueror on a White Horse – Symbolizing deception and the Antichrist (Revelation 6:1-2).
War – A rider on a red horse brings widespread conflict and violence (Revelation 6:3-4).
Famine – A rider on a black horse causes food scarcity and economic collapse (Revelation 6:5-6).
Death – A rider on a pale horse brings widespread death through war, famine, and plague (Revelation 6:7-8).
Martyrdom of Saints – Many Christians will be killed for their faith (Revelation 6:9-11).
Cosmic Disturbances – Earthquakes, the darkening of the sun, and falling stars will terrify humanity (Revelation 6:12-17).
Silence in Heaven – The prelude to the trumpet judgments (Revelation 8:1).

4. The Seven Trumpets
The seven trumpets intensify the judgments (Revelation 8–9; 11):
Hail, Fire, and Blood – One-third of the earth, trees, and grass are burned (Revelation 8:7).
Burning Mountain – A fiery mountain is thrown into the sea, killing one-third of sea life and destroying ships (Revelation 8:8-9).
Wormwood – A star falls, poisoning a third of the freshwater (Revelation 8:10-11).
Darkness – A third of the sun, moon, and stars are darkened (Revelation 8:12).
Demonic Locusts – Locusts torment people for five months (Revelation 9:1-11).
Demonic Army – A massive army kills one-third of humanity (Revelation 9:13-21).
Christ’s Kingdom Proclaimed – The seventh trumpet declares God’s final judgment (Revelation 11:15-19).

5. The Abomination of Desolation
At the midpoint of the Tribulation, the Antichrist will break his covenant with Israel, desecrate the temple, and declare himself to be God.
Verses:
“He will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” (Daniel 9:27)
“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand.” (Matthew 24:15)

6. Persecution of Believers
The Antichrist will wage war against those who follow Christ, and many believers will be martyred.
Verses:
“He was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them.” (Revelation 13:7)
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Revelation 12:11)

7. The Mark of the Beast
The Antichrist will enforce a global economic system where people must receive the mark of the beast (666) to buy or sell.
Verses:
“It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.” (Revelation 13:16-17)

8. The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath
The seven bowls are the final and most severe judgments (Revelation 16):
Sores – Painful sores afflict those with the mark of the beast (Revelation 16:2).
Sea Turned to Blood – All sea life dies (Revelation 16:3).
Rivers Turned to Blood – Freshwater is turned to blood (Revelation 16:4-7).
Scorching Heat – The sun scorches people with intense heat (Revelation 16:8-9).
Darkness – Darkness and pain afflict the Antichrist’s kingdom (Revelation 16:10-11).
Euphrates River Dries Up – The river dries to prepare for the final battle (Revelation 16:12).
Worldwide Earthquake and Hail – The greatest earthquake in history and massive hailstones devastate the earth (Revelation 16:17-21).

9. The Battle of Armageddon
The nations of the world will gather at Armageddon to fight against Christ, but Jesus will return and defeat them.
Verses:
“They gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.” (Revelation 16:16)
“Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army.” (Revelation 19:19)

10. The Return of Christ
Jesus will return at the end of the Tribulation to defeat the Antichrist, judge the nations, and establish His millennial kingdom.
Verses:
“Immediately after the distress of those days… the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29-30)
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.” (Revelation 19:11)

These events show God’s judgment on sin, His faithfulness to fulfill prophecy, and His ultimate victory over evil. The Tribulation is a call for repentance and preparation for Christ’s return.
The seven years that the redeemed spend with Christ in the air following the Rapture correspond to the period of the Tribulation on earth. While the world faces judgment and chaos, the Church, the Bride of Christ, will experience glorious events with the Lord in heaven.

1. The Rapture: The Gathering of the Saints
The redeemed will be “caught up” to meet Christ in the air, experiencing their glorification and transformation.
Verses:
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52)

2. The Judgment Seat of Christ (Bema Seat)
After the Rapture, believers will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, where their works and service will be evaluated. This is not for salvation (already secured in Christ) but for rewards.
Events:
Believers’ works will be tested by fire to determine their eternal rewards.
Crowns will be given to those who have faithfully served Christ.
Verses:
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
“If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:13-15)
Crowns Mentioned in Scripture:
Crown of Righteousness – For those who long for Christ’s return (2 Timothy 4:8).

Events:
The Church will be presented as holy and blameless.
A heavenly marriage feast will take place, signifying the eternal bond between Christ and His Church.

“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.” (Ephesians 5:25-27)

4. Worship and Celebration in Heaven
The redeemed will join the heavenly host in worship, glorifying God for His plan of salvation and His reign.

“And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.’” (Revelation 5:9)

5. Fellowship with Christ
The redeemed will experience personal fellowship with Christ in His presence. This is a time of rest, joy, and fulfillment in His glory.
Verses:
“And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17-18)
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True.” (Revelation 19:11)

“The armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.” (Revelation 19:14)

7. Heavenly Rewards and Responsibilities
Believers will not only be rewarded but also entrusted with responsibilities in the coming Kingdom.
Verses:
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” (Matthew 25:21)
“Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?” (1 Corinthians 6:2)

8. Clothed in Glorified Bodies
The redeemed will receive glorified, incorruptible bodies fit for eternity.
Verses:
“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body.” (Philippians 3:20-21)
“The perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.” (1 Corinthians 15:53)

Summary:
During the seven years in heaven, the redeemed will:
Experience the joy of the Rapture and glorification.
Stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ for rewards.
Celebrate the Marriage of the Lamb.
Worship and fellowship with Christ and the heavenly host.
Prepare for the Second Coming with Christ to reign on earth.
This period will be a time of unparalleled joy, reward, and communion with the Lord, distinct from the judgments occurring on earth.
